Sensory Space -Tunnel Vision

This fabulous new release in The Sensory Space asks us [in a space of just over 2 minutes] to dial up our curiosity whilst taking a brain break.

Within it we are gently encouraged to go beyond the limit of our imagination as it subtly prompts us to think about how we envision the future.

It challenges us to consider the light at the beginning of the tunnel. We are invited to look into the void.

For this piece, the title is the metaphor, relating to our life choices and envisioning the future at a time of year when New Year’s Resolutions may have already dissolved.

As Lewis Carroll said “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there”.

Look into the void. Also don’t look! Black is not a colour – it has power because it absorbs all other colours.

The sensation of black in the piece is different from a lack of sensation. The light at the end of the tunnel…..is always there, so don’t we think of the light as we begin the tunnel?

Our Sensory Space has been designed in collaboration with our fabulous friend Alex Bell*. Created as an antidote to the busy world, it is a space of refreshment, a space where your brain can take a short break, a place of calm, tranquility and re-connection, a space to pause and re-set.

When you visit, you’ll find Tunnel Vision, plus another 3 sensory experiences to indulge in. Words cannot do them justice, so we invite you to dive in and find out for yourselves.

“Turn off all distractions. Go full screen. Plug in your headphones. Give your undivided attention!”

 * Alex is a musician, composer, sound artist and materials engineer. Her art practice uses the materiality of sound to confront entrenched ideologies and beliefs.

We’d love to know who has experienced the Sensory Space so far. Pop a ‘Thumbs Up’ in the comments below if you have.

Enjoy the experience
