I Saw This And Thought Of You

A whole landslide of content arrives in my inbox each week, as I’m sure it does for you too. I kid myself that it’s all terribly useful AND that I’ll get round to reading it all, which is simply impossible. I have set myself up to do an experiment to make the consumption of content more meaningful for me by offering some of the best bits in a curated form.

The experiment may already be over 😜or I may play for a while longer if I enjoy it. For however long this lasts, I hope you are inspired by the ideas that appear here. Think of it as a buffet table of tasty thoughts for you to pick and choose from.

Bon appetit!

A thoughtful piece of writing from Wendy about the world right now and a call to heartfelt appreciation.

Immerse yourself in the transcript of a conversation between Ezra Klein and Johann Hari or listen in as they explore attention.

Judy Rees has a real talent for curating fascinating content and this piece comes via the ReesMcCann weekly Linkletter. I love how Barb creates ease with Clean Language and avoids the trap of a hurried assumption. Clean Language fans and Time To Thinkers will enjoy this.

Obviously we are fans of play here at Clear Thinking. The question is, are you getting enough?

Over on Substack, Thaddeus challenges the ‘religion of self’ and the practice of self worship. I need to read this one a few times I think.

New research is revealing that you might be more aware of the world around you while you are sleeping than you think. Rather than being ‘out like a light,’ it seems that your brain is still listening!

And finally, James Clear shared some words on the subject of joy from Sadhguru from the book Inner Engineering: A Yogi’s Guide to Joy

“Every moment there are a million miracles happening around you:
a flower blossoming, a bird tweeting,
a bee humming, a raindrop falling,
a snowflake wafting along
the clear evening air.
There is magic everywhere.
If you learn how to live it,
life is nothing short of a daily miracle.”

I hope you find even one small thing in here that is good for you. Let me know in the comments which articles you enjoyed most, and you might inspire me to keep curating beyond this first dabble.

Have a fabulous weekend!

  1. Ooh I love a good ole curation…more for my delectable reading pile 😄 And, so pleased to have made it onto the list, thank you 🙂 I regularly review what comes into my inbox, and there’s not many I have kept for the long term. It’s always great to have some new ones to look at and I’m finding Substack is offering some gems. Thanks for sharing your collection Bev, have a great weekend, I’m on my way out into nature….
