Want to take better action?

You’re going to want to be better at thinking.

It’s really important to Kate and I that we make sure you can see the brilliant humans that have gathered here in The Club. One way for us to do that is to let you know about what they’re working on and how you can get involved.

🥁So here is….Katie Driver, who I am fortunate to think with every week! Katie actually teaches this stuff, and she has a course coming up soon which we want you to know about. She is a brilliant Thinking Partner. She inspires me with her ability to craft the perfect questions for our sessions and dazzles me with her thinking.

Katie is super professional and a joy to spend time with, which is probably why two years after we became Certified as Time To Think Coaches, I still make spending time with Katie a priority each week. As a skilled and capable teacher,  you will be in safe hands if you choose to work with her.

When you visit this page on her website, you’ll find that her next Thinking Partnerships Course is on 23rd & 24th May and 20th June this year.

Here’s what Katie says about the course:

By discovering what it means to be a Thinking Partner, you learn how to create and
sustain the conditions which reliably help another person to think independently,
unblock old stories or assumptions holding them back, and generate new thoughts
and ideas which inspire fresh action.

You will also learn more about your own
thought processes and become more confident in your capacity to think well.
By the end of the course, you will be familiar with the principles of the Thinking
Environment™ and know how you can use them to support independent thinking in
one-to-one conversations.

And who is it for?

Anyone who wants to encourage better thinking! It’s particularly useful if you lead or mentor others and want to use more of a coaching approach. Coaches wanting to add the Thinking Environment™ to their toolbox are also very welcome. This course is the first step towards
becoming a qualified Time to Think Coach.

Are you wondering what the course is like?

It’s very interactive. All of us will be exploring and figuring things out as we go.

The group will be very small: no more than six people.

We take it in turns to think and to be a Thinking Partner, pausing frequently to notice and discuss what’s going on and to help each other progress.

These things require commitment…

Three days (online) plus reading, reflection and practice.
Before the course, you’ll have a one-to-one thinking session and a little preparatory reading.

You will practice your Thinking Partner skills with others in the group between the May and June course days. There is an optional follow-up call to help you consolidate your skills.

The cost is £900 – a bursary and staged payments are available on request.

And what do other people say?

“I am halfway through the course, and I can truly say it’s already making a difference. My new
listening mindset is making a real difference to how I run client meetings and internal meetings, and I can see people responding differently to me already.”

the quality of the thinking we do first.” (Nancy Kline)

If it’s ever crossed your mind to go deeper into the Thinking Environment, then do take a look at what Katie is offering.

We’ll leave this post here for a few weeks so you can pop back and look whenever you need to. If you know anyone else who might be interested, please do send them in Katie’s direction. Thanks for reading all the way to bottom of this post. Your reward is cake: 🍰

  1. Ah, thank you Bev! It’s a pleasure to think and explore with you and Kate, and I’m very happy to do the same with any of the Clear Thinking groupies! And if anyone would like to know more about the Thinking Environment training or is simply curious, please just get in touch and we can have a virtual coffee and conversation.
