Sensory Space – White Synchresis

We’re excited to be introducing our 5th release within The Sensory Space.

White Synchresis has the power to allow our eyes to deceive our ears.

This short brain break demonstrates the powerful concept of synchresis – how our brains fuse sound and visual information when these happen at the same time.

Our senses and perceptions influence and transform each other, as our brains process information from different psychological and perceptual perspectives.

In just under 2.5 minutes we are led gently to realise that…

We can’t always trust ourselves.

Our Sensory Space has been designed in collaboration with our fabulous friend Alex Bell*. Created as an antidote to the busy world, it is a space of refreshment, a space where your brain can take a short break, a place of calm, tranquility and re-connection, a space to pause and re-set.

When you visit, you’ll find White Synchresis, plus another 4 sensory delights to indulge in. Words cannot do them justice, so we invite you to dive in and find out for yourselves.

“Turn off all distractions. Go full screen. Plug in your headphones. Give your undivided attention!”

* Alex is a musician, composer, sound artist and materials engineer. Her art practice uses the materiality of sound to confront entrenched ideologies and beliefs.

We’d love to know who has experienced the Sensory Space so far. Pop a ‘Thumbs Up’ in the comments below if you have.

Enjoy the experience.
