But what about the other brilliant humans you haven’t met yet?

One of the fundamental reasons for creating The Club is to bring people together, to experience that sense of belonging to something special, a safe place where you matter, where you can really think, and listen and be inspired by the extraordinary ordinary folk that hang out here. (Do people still say ‘hang out’? 😁)

Imagine if we were IRL, in a real room, a physical space; you’d be bumping into people, making introductions, sharing stories, laughing, making connections, exploring common ground and noticing what makes you different. And you might be experiencing a bit of awkwardness too. Who hasn’t felt a bit apprehensive walking into the room filled with strangers, even for a split second?

We have to work a little harder at connecting socially when we’re not in close proximity, when we’re separated by geography and not huddled around a set agenda. We have to plan to bump into other humans, do it deliberately and intentionally. You might think that takes all the spontaneity out of it, but what if spontaneity requires careful planning?

Our regular Club Open House event is a relaxed, friendly affair. It’s planned in the calendar because without that firm intention it ‘s less likely to happen. You can expect a warm welcome, and to be introduced to some cool people and we’ll even give you something to talk about to help it feel easeful at the start. 

Nothing is required of you, other than to show up and be as you as you can be.
